Label: Renaissance

Danny Howells returns to the world of mix CDs this September with his entry into the "Renaissance: Mix Collection" series.



Howells, of course, got his big break warming up the crowd for John
Digweed at Bedrock. Spreading his wings past the prog colossus, he
quickly became one of the biggest draws in progressive house himself in
the late '90s and early '00s through this relentless touring and spate
of mix CD's. That said, it's been three long years since we've heard
from Howells mix-wise.



That all changes in early September when Renaissance: The Mix Collection
will be released on the label of the same name. Over two discs, Howells
has crafted one of his trademark journeys into sound that according to
the man himself "is a lot deeper than I've done before... it's a lot
more melodic." With a tracklisting that includes a Lawrence remix of
Solomun and Stimming, as well as Al Usher and Ewan Pearson's dub of
Kelley Polar's "Entropy," we're inclined to believe him. As always,
Howells will be bringing along some special tricks, so expect a host of
exclusives, remixes, and edits as well.
